Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Position Overview
The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Utah is seeking a dependable, caring, and organized Childcare Coordinator to help oversee our childcare program serving children ages 0–5.
The Childcare Coordinator will work directly with children while also helping support staff, communicate with parents and administration, maintain licensing requirements, and ensure the childcare program operates safely and smoothly each day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide basic care and supervision for children ages 0–5.
- Create a safe, positive, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
- Plan, prepare, and assist with age-appropriate activities, play, and learning opportunities.
- Assist with children’s daily needs, including diapering/changing, toileting, feeding, and other basic care.
- Maintain consistent communication between childcare staff and help ensure everyone has the information they need.
- Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding children’s needs, daily routines, concerns, and program information.
- Communicate staffing, program, supply, safety, and other childcare needs to administration.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate childcare records.
- Understand, follow, and help staff maintain all applicable childcare licensing standards and requirements.
- Help maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and classroom coverage.
- Step into classrooms and cover staff shifts, breaks, or absences when needed.
- Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks when needed.
- Help maintain clean, organized, sanitary, and developmentally appropriate childcare spaces.
- Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and supervision procedures are followed consistently.
- Support childcare staff with daily routines, activities, behavior management, and classroom needs.
- Identify concerns or needs within the childcare program and communicate them promptly to administration.
- Perform additional childcare and program-related duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have a current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or higher education/credential in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children preferred.
- Previous childcare, preschool, daycare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with staff, parents/guardians, and administration.
- Dependable, patient, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Willingness and ability to complete required childcare licensing training and documentation.
- Must be comfortable providing hands-on care for children ages 0–5, including diapering/changing and feeding.
- Must be able to work Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
