DuBois Area YMCA is seeking to hire individuals to work in our Child Development Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment for all children
- Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for children
- Provide positive experiences with each child in the classroom
- Encourage cooperation and positive behavior
- Other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher and/or Director of Childcare
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred
- Previous experience in a childcare or early care setting preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as ability to inspire confidence and interact with students individually
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit for an extended period of time.
