Position Summary
NexaYouth is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Chief Program and Development Officer (CPDO) to serve as a strategic partner to the Founder. This role is ideal for a passionate individual with strong leadership skills who is eager to contribute meaningfully to the growth and sustainability of a mission-driven organization. The CPDO will oversee key areas including donor relations, grant development, partnership outreach, internal operations, and national program execution.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management and Organizational Development
Assist in managing and expanding NexaYouth’s national summer program, including intern and volunteer coordination
Support the Founder in developing organizational systems and strategic planning initiatives
Lead communication with partner organizations, educational institutions, and community leaders
Contribute to logistical planning, outreach strategies, and program impact tracking
Fundraising and Development
Identify and pursue relevant grant opportunities in alignment with NexaYouth’s mission
Draft and submit compelling grant proposals and donor correspondence
Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners
Develop and implement fundraising campaigns, sponsorship decks, and donor impact reports
Communications and Outreach
Assist in drafting outreach emails, proposals, and professional communications
Support external messaging through newsletters, reports, and public presentations
Represent NexaYouth in meetings with current and prospective partners and supporters
Collaborate on organizational branding and communications strategy
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in nonprofit program coordination, development, fundraising, or strategic partnerships
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and diplomatic approach
Highly organized, self-directed, and trustworthy, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
Passion for youth engagement, civic education, and environmental advocacy
Experience with Google Workspace, grant databases, and/or CRM platforms is a plus
