Life Moves is the largest and one of the most effective non-profits committed to ending homelessness for families and individuals in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. As a
results-driven
organization since 1987, its mission has been to provide interim housing and supportive services that create opportunities for families and individuals experiencing homelessness to return to permanent housing and long-term stability.
With 26 shelter and service sites from Daly City to San José, Life Moves provides its neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management through both site-based programs and community outreach. Last year, Life Moves supported over 2,000 people in their return to permanent housing.

An experienced operational leader in the Chief Operating Officer role will be critical to ensuring our continued success.
The Position:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer is the second-in-command for the agency and a key leader on the executive team. The COO will join the CEO and the
senior leadership
in positioning Life Moves to scale and refine its
dynamic
portfolio of operations across the region. The COO will be essential to scaling people and systems delivery by leading the teams responsible for program efficacy and development, evaluation and learning, human resources, and site operations.
In alignment with our strategic direction, the COO will unify and integrate programs, develop new processes, build internal capacity and capabilities, and implement programs and services that meet our near- and long-term objectives.
The Chief Operating Officer directly supervises a team of 4 Vice Presidents, respectively overseeing Programs and Services, Impact and Learning, Human Resources, and Facilities. The COO will be a seasoned executive with proven experience scaling logistically complex programs and implementing research-backed programmatic improvements. The COO will also have a track record of building strong, positive relationships internally and externally, and will share Life Moves commitment to the principles of
