Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at RH Voluntário is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading all financial operations and strategy. This role oversees budgeting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning to support organizational growth and sustainability. The CFO will manage the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, advising leadership on financial decisions, and improving internal controls and financial processes. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, lead or support audit activities, manage relationships with banks and financial partners, and contribute to strategic initiatives and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and finance skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Expertise in preparing and interpreting financial statements, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, including developing management reports, dashboards, and KPIs for leadership.
- Advanced analytical skills to assess financial performance, evaluate scenarios, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as CFO or equivalent.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and audit practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a remote environment, with proven ability to lead and coordinate distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, MBA) is a plus.
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is beneficial but not required.
