Job Description
Job Summary
Green ovations is a sustainability service under the Commission of Environmental Sustainability that supports students through retrofitting and composting programs. A Green ovations Volunteer helps out by carrying out home retrofits for patrons and supporting composting initiatives throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for environmental sustainability and an interest in hands‑on, community‑based sustainability work.

Job Duties
- Regular volunteer hours of 1–3 hours each week.
- Carry out scheduled retrofits for patrons as assigned.
- Support composting program initiatives as needed.
- Assist the Green ovations Deputy during shifts, as needed.
- Help maintain tool and supply inventory.
- Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the department and adhere to its general operations.
- Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor.
- Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively.
- Attend and fully participate in all in‑person and virtual meetings.
- Strive to foster a warm, comfortable, and respectful atmosphere.
- Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement.
- Complete other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Working Conditions
Interaction and collaboration with coworkers, management and the Queen’s community.
