Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient service, providing medical administrative support, obtaining vital signs, scheduling scans and procedures for patients, phone triage, injection administration, assisting the provider with any needs, navigation of EHR, prior authorizations of medications, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Duties:
– Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing medical documents.
– Assist healthcare professionals in conducting patient examinations and treatments.
– Take and record vital signs, including height, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
– Administer injections and medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
– Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience:
– Proven experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare role.
– Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and understanding of common medical procedures.
– Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical coding practices.
– Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
– Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
