The Arc of the South Shore has partnered with Pillar Search & HR Consulting on the search for their new CEO. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced nonprofit executive who is a tireless advocate for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is based in Hingham, MA.

The Arc of the South Shore is $16M in operating budget, 200 employees, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers operating in 10 facilities across the south shore.
About the Opportunity:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports to the Board of Directors and providesleadership, direction, and oversight focused on the achievement of agency goals and objectives. The CEO oversees all aspects of the agency’s business and finances including all business operations, humanresource management, negotiations with funding sources, program management,regulatory compliance, fundraising, public relations, information technology, and property management. The CEO will provide theleadershipand executive management necessary to ensure the organization has proper operational controls, administration and reporting procedures, and complies with applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations.
The CEO is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of policies and programs intended to improve the general welfare of all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The CEO leads the planning, organizing, directing, and coordination of staff programs and activities ensuring that objectives, goals, and the needs of the agency are successfully met.
Essential Functions
General Responsibilities
Provides day-to-dayleadershipand management that exemplify the mission and core values of the agency.
Directs and oversees all aspects of the agency’s business andfinancial well-beingto achieve stated goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Spearheads development and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes including workforce expansion andprofessional development.
Leads contract negotiations with local, state, and federal entities.
Oversees the development and management of an internal quality enhancement process.
Facilitates the ongoing development and review of current policies and procedures utilized in the delivery of services.
Oversees a comprehensive fundraising strategy whilebuilding relationshipswith current and potential donors.
Ensures that the organization and its mission are consistently presented positively to all stakeholders.
Provides ongoing updates to the Board of Directors on all important factors influencing the agency’s activities.
In partnership with the Board, oversees development and implementation of a strategic budget that advances the organizational mission.
