Position Summary
The CEO is a full-time position that leads the day-to-day management and operations of all programs and services to ensure that the mission, strategy, values and goals of BBBS of Greater Chattanooga are achieved. The CEO oversees all administrative and fiduciary functions and works closely and collaboratively with the Board of Directors to fundraise and implement all policy decisions. The CEO motivates, leads, and inspires the staff and sustains a highly professionalwork environment.
This position reports directly to the BBBS Board President and Board of Directors.
Operations
Develop and drive the business strategy of the organization within the context of the nationwide strategic direction.
Manage the agency’s budget and ensures fiscal discipline, budgetary control and financial integrity of all functions.
Implement and maintain policies and procedures for sound fiscal management and internal controls, in alignment with BBBSA’s Standards of Practice.
Uses performance metrics, quality indicators, and BBBSA standards to guide operational decision making.
Provide vision and oversight for all goals, objectives, and activities as outline in the operational and strategic plan.
Work closely with other organizations and government agencies with shared interests in those served by BBBS and promote inter-organizationalcollaborative partnerships.
Staff and Board Development
Drives acollaborativeprocess with the Board of Directors and staff.
Cultivates a strong Board of Directors willing to lead and contribute to the fund development success of the organization. Provides support for board member recruitment, scheduling meetings and providing agency materials to board members. Provides Board Member orientation and ensures Board Members have the support and resources needed to be utilized and successful.
Provideleadershipto and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors, committees, and community advisors.
Attracts, retains, develops and leverages staff talent. Promotes a supportive workplace culture and creates opportunities forprofessional development.
