As a CDL Truck Driver, you will support the Augusta/CSRA Habitat Mission by ensuring our customers get a positive experience through your friendly and helpful manner. You work in a world where you may juggle multiple roles at once, but you know how handle it. You are highly skilled at taking control of those challenges, ensuring that the ball doesn’t drop, knowing when to ask for help.
Shift: Tuesday through Saturday; 9:00AM – 6:00PM
Responsibilities:
Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the company in a positive and professional manner.
Comply with all policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe workspace, ensuring standards are maintained and enforced.
Professional and courteous interaction with donors including utmost care and concern for personal property
Operate donation truck safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include customer homes, businesses, job sites, or other locations as directed by management.
Load the truck at customer homes with donations to be delivered to the ReStore. Secure the load properly so that nothing will shift, get damaged, or fall from the truck. Ensure that the necessary equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available.
Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the ReStore. Keep truck clean of debris in cab and body.
Able to perform pre and post trip inspections.
Ensure weekly updates are delivered to management regarding donation pickups and donation scheduling.
Assist with donation processing and store needs when not assigned to truck
Keep the warehouse neat and orderly when unloading.
Drivers must be eligible to be added to Habitat vehicle insurance- this requires at least 5 years of driving experience and a favorable driving record.

Qualifications
CDL driver’s license and clean driving record.
Experience driving box trucks.
Integrity, credibility, commitment to Habitat’s mission
Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds
Effective communication (oral and written) and listening skills
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, to move and handle boxes of merchandise, furniture, and fixtures over varied terrain including stairs and through doorways, entails lifting at least 75 pounds, assisted
Substance screening, criminal background check, driving record history, and reference check will be conducted on prospective employee prior to extension of a job offer

Pay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour
