Life Community Services Society is a mid-sized social service agency with a vision to bring out the best in every child by empowering children and families through care and mentoring. We are looking for a like-minded applicant to support the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

You shall work under the direction of Programme Manager(s). Your main duties and responsibilities include the following:

FOCY team Conduct comprehensive child and family assessments, identifying strengths, challenges, and needs of families impacted by parental incarceration.

Provide individual and family counselling, addressing emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns resulting from parental incarceration.

Support parent-child reunification, ensuring the best interests of the child are prioritised.

Organise and facilitate educational workshops and support groups to educate children and families, and provide a safe space for sharing experiences and insights.

Offer crisis intervention and trauma-informed care to children and families facing acute challenges.

Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families, coordinating with various organisations and systems to address systemic barriers.

Provide supervision and guidance to junior social workers and caseworkers in case management and groupwork.

MKFC team Conduct initial and regular assessments on needs of children/youth.

Provide casework interventions and support for children, youth and their caregivers.

Maintain updated case notes and social work reports.

Schedule regular visits to clients & caregivers.

Plan, develop and deliver programmes based on the assessed needs of clients.

Participate in individual and group supervisions.

Manage engagement and

collaboration

with other stakeholders, including volunteers and other agencies, to provide holistic support to clients.

Work in a team to support the smooth running of daily operations and maintenance of our MKFC centre.

Regular review of case management process and procedures to ensure these are in line with sector practices.

Skills, Competencies and Qualification With working experience in children and youth work will be an added advantage.

Confident in

building relationships

with children and youth.

Able to collaborate with caregivers, volunteers, and other stakeholders such as school and community partners.

Strong team player with good interpersonal and

communication skills

.

Teachable heart and willing to embrace new

learning opportunities

.

Must have the

flexibility
