Position Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and hospitality-driven Catering Sales Coordinator & Event Producer to join our team.
This role combines sales, client relationship management, event planning, and on-site event production. You’ll guide clients from their initial inquiry through the successful execution of their event by building relationships, developing customized proposals, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned.
On event days, you’ll be on-site supporting clients and collaborating with our operations team to help deliver exceptional events. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and seeing months of planning come to life, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in hospitality.
Responsibilities
Sales and Client Experience
- Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their event vision and goals.
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication and service.
- Prepare customized catering proposals, menus, timelines, floor plans, and event logistics.
- Present proposals and guide clients through the booking process.
- Respond promptly to phone calls and email inquiries.
- Conduct sales outreach and follow up with prospective clients.
- Cultivate referrals and repeat business through outstanding service.
Event Planning & Production
- Coordinate staffing, rentals, equipment, transportation, and event logistics.
- Collaborate with culinary, operations, and event teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Develop event timelines and communicate event details across departments.
- Anticipate challenges and proactively provide solutions throughout the planning process.
- Attend events to ensure client expectations are met and every detail is executed successfully.
- Serve as an on-site resource for clients and support the event team throughout the event.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- One or more years of experience in catering, hospitality, event planning, banquet operations, hotel sales, venue sales, restaurant management, or a related field.
- Experience in sales, client relationship management, or event coordination is preferred.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Professional phone and email etiquette.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary: $45,000+ annually, based on experience, before additional sales commission, bonuses, and event gratuities.
