Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social work, or a related field, preferred. Other comparable experience considered.
Required one-year experience with providing casework services.
Experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and educational levels required.
Critical thinking, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
Skilled in working with a team.
Oral and writtencommunication skills.
Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

Scope of Position:
The Resource Navigator position supports the provision of Coordinated Entry of services by providing information, referral, intake assessment, and emergency casework services over the phone, via email, video chat, and/or in person. The Resource Navigator will provide case management services using homeless diversion andpreventionstrategies and will also be responsible for using HMIS and Salvation Army databases to document assistance, referrals, and to track assisted households monthly, for at least one year.

Skills and Abilities
Required:
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Knowledge of HMIS inputting and reporting.
Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
Must be courteous andrespectfulto teammates and donors.
Must be congenial and able to work with difficult individuals.
Licenses and Certifications required/preferred:Driver License. Trauma informed Care, Assertive Engagement, First Aid and CPR;

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responds to requests for information regarding The Salvation Army’s assistance programs and other community resources.
Conduct triaging using screening tools, and providing assistance and referrals in Multnomah Co.
Assess needs and identify resources to establish individual case plans.
Connect and refer qualified candidates with their appropriate partner agency.
Provide tailored case management and financial assistance when appropriate.
