Full Job Description
This is a full-time Case Manager/Family Advocate position at an NAEYC-accredited and licensed child care center and Early Head Start program for infants and toddlers whose parents are adolescent parents attending high school. The program is located in renovated space inside Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven. The Case Manager/Family Advocate will help parents focus on promoting their child’s development and encourage parental involvement.
The job responsibilities are to coordinate and provide direct support services to families through:
case management;
home visits;
family needs assessment;
support for attaining family goals;
referrals to resources;
establishing and maintaining community partnerships; and
family recruitment/enrollment.
This position is with a nonprofit organization; the individual hired to fill the position will not be a New Haven Public Schools employee. The position is a 35 hours/week, 12-month position.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (AA) in a relevant field like social work, human services, family services, or counseling. A BA is preferred.
Experience working with families, particularly families from low-income and diverse communities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively advocate for families.
Valid driver’s license and reliable car.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $27.00 – $28.50 per hour
