Is culturally competent and able to offer trauma-informed care, understanding the complexities of domestic violence, including the dynamics of power, control, and trauma.
Has the ability to coordinate and facilitate empowerment workshops, including but not limited to topics such as healthy relationships, financial empowerment, and anger management.
Possesses excellent oral, written, and group communication skills to effectively engage with participants, families, and community partners.
Is highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases, track progress, and meet deadlines while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

About the Role:
As a Case Manager in the ReNew Domestic Violence Program, you will play a crucial role in addressing domestic violence prevention needs in the community. This role provides comprehensive support and intervention for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, with a focus on reducing violence and fostering healing.
You will work directly with individuals involved in domestic violence, either voluntarily or as mandated by the court, providing one-on-one case management, facilitating empowerment workshops, and developing safety and stability plans. This position also requires you to assess the needs of individuals and families, make appropriate referrals, and ensure that participants have access to necessary resources, including housing, employment, and legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments and provide one-on-one case management for individuals involved in domestic violence matters.
Facilitate trauma-informed workshops on topics such as healthy relationships, financial empowerment, and anger management.
Support families in developing safety plans and financial management strategies.
Connect individuals with community resources, including housing, employment, financial assistance, and behavioral health services.
Maintain accurate records, track participant progress, and prepare detailed reports on program activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology or closely related field, preferred. Associates Degree with two (2) years of case management experience in a non-profit setting focusing marginalized communities, or a High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years’ experience in case management in a non-profit setting working with marginalized communities.
Two or more years of proven experience and the ability to perform intensive case management and programmatic functions for adults and youth.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of individuals, including program participants, colleagues, and community partners. Skilled in conducting intake interviews, assessments, and case documentation.
Excellent oral, written and group communication skills to effectively interact with people of various ages, ethnic, cultural backgrounds, and economic status.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining rapport with parents that leads to increased personal empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Experience, commitment, and resourcefulness in working with disadvantaged low-income populations from diverse cultures.
Knowledgeable of community, educational and economic resources, and social services in North Minneapolis.
Highly developed organizational skills and comfortable taking initiative.
Valid driver’s license, proof of current insurance and reliable transportation required.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and computer client tracking databases
