Responsibilities
Spiritual Growth:
Pursue a vibrant relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, worship both individually and in community; develop self‑leadership; embrace Scriptural standards for behavior.
Campus Leadership:
Communicate and model Inter Varsity’s vision and core values; create a culture of humble dependence on God; lead students and faculty through Scripture, teaching, and discipleship; set annual goals and develop ministry plans; mobilize students to engage relational networks with the gospel; supervise interns when directed by the Area Director.
Organizational
Collaboration:
Work with local, regional, and national Inter Varsity staff and volunteers; contribute to team meetings; affiliate chapters under your care; use national ministry resources; report and plan requirements; comply with Inter Varsity policies.
Ministry Partnership Development:
Build partnerships with churches, alumni, community members for financial, prayer, or volunteer support; raise 100% of the financial budget assigned; communicate regularly with partners; develop long‑lasting partnerships with alumni and volunteers; comply with partnership policies; identify advocates to build networks of donors.
Qualifications (common to all levels)
Annually affirm Inter Varsity’s Statement of Agreement; abide by Inter Varsity’s Code of Conduct; align with Human Sexuality Theological Paper and Women in Ministry Statement of Affirmation;
Bachelor’s degree required for four‑year campus positions, Associate’s for two‑year campus positions; strong interpersonal skills capable of ministering to diverse communities; excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrated problem‑solving; familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
Work Environment /
Physical Requirements
Leading ministry in a college campus environment; designated office space may not be available; travel on and off campus for conferences, meetings, and training sessions; use of standard office equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $39,288.00 – $52,392.00 per year. Position funded through personal fundraising; compensation depends on ability to secure donor support.
