We are partnering with a religious organization in Abington, MA to identify a dependable and detail-oriented Business Manager with Finance and Administrative Experience. This role supports the day-to-day financial and operational functions across a religious organization. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of bookkeeping, and a collaborative, mission-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Support
Prepare annual and interim financial reports, along with other ad hoc reporting needs for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, receivable, and all revenue/expense tracking for both parishes.
Reconcile monthly bank statements in a timely and accurate manner.
Serve as a liaison with banking partners, managing account activity and resolving issues as needed.
Process payroll and oversee the administration of employee benefits.
Maintain up-to-date financial and operational records in compliance with organizational and diocesan policies.
Support Finance Councils by preparing documentation and attending relevant meetings as required.
Administrative & General Support
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including document management, internal communications, and scheduling.
Contribute to general operational needs, including light human resources support where applicable.
Attend meetings related to financial or operational duties, as needed.
Take initiative on other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
deal Candidate:
Strong communication skills across in-person, phone, and email channels
High attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational ability
Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software strongly preferred
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also thriving in a collaborative, team environment
Previous experience in a nonprofit or religious organization is a plus
