The Recruiter – Track to Business Development will play a critical role in identifying and engaging top talent while also developing key relationships that support the African American Male Wellness Agency’s (AAMWA) expansion efforts. This individual will start in a recruiting capacity, learning the organization’s needs, culture, and outreach strategies, with a growth path into business development. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder, an excellent communicator, and passionate about community health and wellness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
Source, engage, and recruit top-tier candidates for roles within AAMWA and its affiliated programs.
Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to support the organization’s long-term hiring needs.
Partner with leadership to understand staffing demands and develop recruitment strategies.
Conduct interviews, assess candidate fit, and manage the hiring process.
Pathway To Business Development
Leverage recruiting and networking skills to cultivate relationships with corporate, nonprofit, and community partners.
Assist in identifying and securing sponsorships, grants, and funding opportunities that align with AAMWA’s mission.
Support the development of proposals and presentations to potential partners.
Participate in outreach initiatives, attending industry events, career fairs, and networking engagements.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3+ years in recruiting, sales, fundraising, business development, or a related field.
Skills
Strong recruitment and networking abilities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for improving health outcomes for African American communities.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics tools.
Travel: Willingness to travel for networking events, recruitment initiatives, and meetings with potential partners.
