Our client, a large nonprofit organization in New York City that is actively looking for a Budget Payroll Analyst!
The Budget Analyst (Payroll) is responsible for assisting with day-to-day activities to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll, including processing weekly and biweekly payrolls.
BUDGETING:
Review and upload payroll data from ADP Payroll System to PCS and post to MIP Accounting System
Reconcile the salary expenses between two systems PCS and MIP monthly basis
Process all payroll re-class entries in PCS and MIP systems
Prepare monthly budget variance reports and quarterly forecast reports at both consolidated and individual program/building levels for Senior Management and for Building Managers
Prepare a quarterly Fringe True up schedule
Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management and Budget manager
PAYROLL:
Verify employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness; communicate with managers on any discrepancies and benefits
Provide support in researching and resolving ADP payroll-related problems and exceptions, process manual checks, and pay corrections
Prepare weekly payroll journal entry and upload to accounting system
Provide payroll schedules for contract claim process and financial reporting process
Assist with annual year-end audits and government audits
Maintain confidentiality regarding payroll and related information
Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers and promptly answer payroll related questions
Qualifications:
2+ years of budget analysis and payroll experience including demonstrated experience in financial analysis and/or budgeting
BA/BS degree required; Major in Finance or Accounting preferred.
Non-profit experience preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and work-related internet research
Experience with budgeting/accounting software; MIP preferred
Experience with ADP workforce preferred
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
