About the Role

Fruitfull Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and socially conscious Brand Ambassador Intern to join our growing nonprofit team. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or community members passionate about food justice, sustainability, or nonprofit work. As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll represent Fruitfull at events, on campuses, and through social media—helping us expand our reach and amplify our mission to reduce food waste and fight food insecurity. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit marketing, public relations, and community outreach, all while making a real impact in your local community.

You do not have to be a student to apply. This is also a great opportunity for anyone looking to build their resume through meaningful, long-term volunteer work.

Applicants must be based in Southern California and be able to travel to the following areas: Orange County, Los Angeles, and Riverside/San Bernardino areas.

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to lead and manage on-site activities, including produce gleaning and assisting with food donation pickups at farmers’ markets and grocery stores. This role requires travel to locations across Riverside and San Bernardino counties, parts of Orange County (such as Fullerton, Irvine, Brea, and Anaheim), and Los Angeles areas near USC and UCLA.

Represent Fruitfull at community events, farmers’ markets, and university volunteer fairs.

Promote our mission online and in person—helping drive awareness around food waste, hunger relief, and community sustainability.

Distribute materials, speak with residents and students, and encourage participation in volunteer programs.

Create and share content from your outreach experiences to highlight Fruitfull’s impact.

Document your ambassador activities through content, feedback, and outreach reports.

Help maintain relationships with local partners, including schools, hunger relief agencies, and grocers.

Qualifications and Requirements

Student status not required—ideal for individuals seeking nonprofit experience or resume-building volunteer work.

If current college student or recent graduate (preferred majors: Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, Environmental Studies, or related fields).

Strong interest in sustainability, food equity, or grassroots organizing.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with the public.

Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, or social media platforms is a plus.

Reliable transportation is a must for local travel to events and sites (multiple farmers’ markets and grocers’).

Organized, dependable, and passionate about service.

Spanish proficiency is a plus.
