We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to ensure the smooth and successful execution of operational tasks. In this role, you will leverage the support of the BDC to enhance communication and strengthen relationships with government officials and BRAC programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with District and Upazila Government authorities, facilitate field visits and project meetings, and maintain liaison with local administrations and other agencies.
  • Represent BRAC in district-level government committees such as Disaster Management, Microfinance Institutions, and Road Safety Committees (DRSC), and participate actively in the District Case Management Committee (DCMC).
  • Obtain required certifications from Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) for fund releases and project approvals, while supporting BRAC programmes in surveys, events, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Act as a Designated Officer under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, manage RTI requests, and lead capacity-building initiatives for Assistant BDCs and RTI officers, focusing on leadership and technical skills.
  • Build and sustain relationships with government officials, CSOs, NGOs/NPOs, and local media to strengthen BRAC’s visibility, ensure positive branding, and respond proactively to negative publicity.
  • Collect and publish success stories in local and national media, and organize campaigns, expos, and signature events such as BRAC Day, development fairs, and values award ceremonies.
  • Coordinate the celebration of national and international days, organize District Programme Coordination (DPC) meetings, and communicate updates and insights from the head office.
  • Act as Incident Commander during disasters, update contingency plans, and coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts in collaboration with DDMT and UDMT.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant BDCs to ensure professional growth, prepare them to assume BDC responsibilities, and monitor field-level compliance with BRAC policies.
  • Manage office administration, audits, and documentation for rented offices, oversee deeds and contracts, report sudden incidents (e.g., fire, theft, abuse), and ensure timely submission of reports to relevant authorities.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with experience in local government administration and media (both print and electronic).
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy in engaging with diverse stakeholders and managing relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in taking meeting notes, writing reports, and preparing press notes.
  • Skilled in reading, writing, and speaking English with strong writing abilities for official documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, email communication, internet browsing, and report writing.
  • Practical motorcycle driving skills and the ability to apply knowledge appropriately and timely in field situations.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s or equivalent degree from any discipline.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of experience in the relevant field.
