Role Description This is a part-time, remote Bookkeeper role responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records to support Vaccinate Your Familys’ mission and operations. On a day-to-day basis, the Bookkeeper will record and reconcile financial transactions, process invoices and payments, and assist with maintaining the general ledger. The role includes preparing and updating financial reports, supporting the creation of budgets, and assisting with basic grant or program-related financial tracking as needed. The Bookkeeper will also help ensure compliance with internal financial policies and applicable regulations, respond to finance-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, and collaborate with leadership and external accountants or auditors as required. This role requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality, and proactive communication in a remote work setting.
Qualifications

  • Solid bookkeeping skills, including accurate recording of transactions and maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Experience preparing or supporting the preparation of financial statements and related financial reports.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and basic office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, online communication platforms).
  • Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-finance team members.
  • Prior experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, especially in public health or community services, is a plus.
  • Relevant education or training in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
