Position: Board of Directors Role – Rebuilding Together North Jersey
Rebuilding Together North Jersey (RTNJ) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, fire safety and energy efficiency services for low-income homeowners, particularly Seniors, Veterans, people with disabilities, and low-income families with children, at no cost to recipients.

Requirements (flexible based on candidate)
- Experience volunteering is preferred
- Time commitment of at least 5 hours per month
- Annual giving levels of $1,000 or more
- Be an ambassador for the RTNJ mission in your daily life
- Attend monthly board meetings
- Attend and support special events
- Ability to network on behalf of the organization
- Join 2 committees
Typically, candidates for the board will be considered after serving on a RTNJ committee or in other volunteer role. RTNJ’s current committees include Fund Development, Marketing & PR, Project Development, and Governance.
