This not-for-profit organization seeks qualified individuals passionate about enhancing Canada’s performance in the Olympics and Paralympics. Board members are pivotal in strategic discussions and operational oversight, serving on multiple committees. Ideal candidates will bring diverse expertise, from legal and financial management to human resources, with a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve on diverse board committees, including Nominating and Athlete Advisory
• Attend at least four board meetings each year
• Engage in critical board decision-making
• Uphold the governance of Own the Podium
• Advocate for Canadian high-performance sport initiatives
Requirements:
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• Previous board experience in not-profit context
• Familiarity with Canadian sports landscape
• Bilingual abilities highly desirable
• Support for equity and inclusion initiatives
