Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for a Board Member supporting the mission and governance of Lady Freethinker. Responsibilities include providing strategic guidance, assisting with organizational planning, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards, and advocating for the nonprofit’s cause. Board Members are expected to participate in meetings, collaborate with fellow board members, and support program initiatives to advance animal welfare.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience or understanding in nonprofit governance or advocacy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-building skills
- Passion for animal protection, ethical awareness, and commitment to the organization’s mission
- Professional experience in law, finance, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related fields is a plus
- Ability to dedicate time to attend board meetings, review documents, and actively support organizational goals
- Prior experience in a volunteer or board capacity is an advantage
