Overview

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking reliable and friendly volunteers to assist with operating Bingo. The organization operates two bingo sessions every other Friday to support YMCA programs and services in the community.

Time commitment is generally one Bingo shift per month. Volunteers work in pairs, with on-site guidance available from bingo hall staff. Volunteering is self-contained – volunteers show up, perform the on-site duties, and leave at the end of the shift.

Location Details: Blue Sky Bingo, 420 Airport Road (at O’Brien). Every other Friday.

Schedule:

AM bingo 10:30 am – 3:00 pm; PM bingo 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

Assist with operating Bingo as a fundraiser for the YMCA. Work in pairs during assigned shifts and follow the guidance of the bingo hall staff. Complete on-site duties as scheduled and ensure smooth operation of the session.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Basic math skills (to make change, etc.)
  • Have a valid Police Record Check
