Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team at The Family Place. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting our mission of enhancing family services in the Upper Valley. You will be responsible for billing and accounts receivable processes, contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
Process and manage all accounts receivable transactions accurately.
Generate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
Utilize QuickBooks for efficient account management.
Review and record all bank deposits.
Prepare and submit billing through various billing systems (training provided).
Support the finance team with additional accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Associates Degree in Accounting or 2+ years professional accounting experience
Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar finance roles
Experience with health insurance billing (or willingness to learn)
Strong understanding of financial concepts and GAAP
Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines
High degree of accuracy and accountability
Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check
