Billing Auditor & Reviewer – Supports Planning Program
Total Care Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Auditor & Reviewer to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is ideal for someone with Supports Planning experience who has strong analytical, documentation, and compliance skills.
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Work Setting: Primarily Remote with occasional onsite meetings/projects
What You’ll Do
- Review and audit Supports Planning billing activity notes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure documentation meets agency, Maryland Department of Health (MDH), and CMS requirements.
- Identify billing concerns and coordinate necessary corrections with Supports Planners and supervisors.
- Analyze billing activity and prepare daily billing reports.
- Reconcile billed amounts and revenue.
- Conduct and track customer satisfaction surveys.
- Utilize LTSS Maryland for reporting and quality assurance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and staff training related to billing and compliance.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field considered.
- Minimum 2 years of Supports Planning experience.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Home and Community-Based Waiver services, and the Maryland False Claims Act.
- Working knowledge of LTSS Maryland.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Case management and self-directed services experience preferred.
