We are seeking a Full Time Benefits Specialist to work in our Case Management Division in Philadelphia, PA.
Some of the responsibilities include the following:
Manage central collective Representative Payee Account and/or Individual Representative Payee Accounts
Train Fund Custodians
Monitor and assist the fund custodian with financial planning and management
Monitor the utilization of consumer funds and ensure compliance with all laws, government regulations from benefit issuing agencies, in accordance with Horizon House policy and procedures.
Provide financial planning and budgeting assistance to the consumers as appropriate.
Job Qualifications:
A successful aplicant will have the following:
· AA Degree and two years of related experience or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required to work with people who have mental health/intellectual disabilities and assist them with benefits and finances
Very good basic mathematical skills
Very good communication skills
Very good analytical skills
Ability to work independently, detail oriented
MS competency with Word, Access, Excel or Quicken
Some knowledge of basic accounting practices
Scope
· Required to disburse funds
Requires sitting for long periods of time
Frequent talking and listening
Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills
