Job Summary
St. Cecilia School and Academy is seeking a dependable and caring Before Care Aide to support the school’s morning care program. The Before Care Aide is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and supervised environment for students prior to the start of the school day. The successful candidate will foster positive student interactions, promote appropriate behavior, and support the mission and values of Catholic education.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise students participating in the before care program to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Welcome students and assist with morning arrival and check-in procedures.
- Facilitate quiet, age-appropriate activities and help students transition smoothly into the school day.
- Promote positive behavior and respectful interactions among students.
- Monitor attendance and communicate any concerns to the program supervisor or school administration.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the before care area.
- Follow all school policies and procedures related to student supervision, safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student needs.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and Christian values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or related setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise children in a positive, safe, and supportive manner.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Supportive of the mission, values, and teachings of Catholic education.
- Successful completion of all required background checks and compliance requirements.
