About the Associate Pastor:
The Associate Pastor assists in developing and executing the church’s mission and vision with a primary focus on the growth and development of a younger demographic within the church. He leads the ministry team and assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the church. His responsibilities include preaching, teaching, administration, pastoral care, andleadership developmentincollaborationwith the Senior Pastor.
The Associate Pastor works with the Senior Pastor on a predetermined 3–5-year transition plan which would involve the Associate Pastor assuming an increasing number of responsibilities currently held by the Senior Pastor. This transition plan into the Senior Pastorate will be monitored by the Board of Elders.
The Associate Pastor Will:
Administration
Manage the church staff (Senior Pastor excluded)
Work with the Business Administrator in overseeing the daily functions of the church
Work with and oversee the ministry team in carrying out the church’s vision
Evangelism and Discipleship
Work with the Board of Outreach and Evangelism in the development of programs
Assist in identifying, equipping, and mentoring leaders within the church, fostering their growth and involvement in various ministry areas
Work with the Senior Pastor to provide spiritual guidance, support, and counseling to members of the church and community
Fellowship
Exercise intentional involvement in the target demographic
Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with church members
Be involved in hospital, shut-in, and home visits
Worship
Preach and teach on a regular basis
General Ministry
Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Elders

What You Bring:
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Associate Pastor:
Education & Experience
Possess a thorough knowledge of the Bible
Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology, ministry, or related field from an accredited institution
Subscribe to the Bylaws of the church
Embrace a conservative, evangelical theology
Experience as an Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, or other related professional ministry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate a genuine love toward and rapport with people
Preach and teach the Bible in a relevant manner
Recruit and train volunteers to assist in ministry
Work independently and as part of a team
Possess organizational,leadership, and administrative skills
Possess verbal and writtencommunication skills
Experience with Office 360 and social media skills is viewed as an asset
Personal Characteristics & Qualifications
Provide a clear testimony of faith alone in Jesus Christ alone as Savior
Possess a growing fellowship with Christ as Lord
Demonstrate a faithful pursuit ofleadershipcharacteristics
A married candidate is preferred
