The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening advocacy, policy, and partnerships in the field of infectious diseases. Through high-level convenings, strategic collaborations, and evidence-based advocacy, we work to shape global and regional health agendas.
About the Role
IDA is seeking an Associate Director – Partnerships to lead a dynamic team of six professionals based in Brussels and Geneva. This role offers a unique opportunity to spearhead global health events, drive strategic partnerships, and contribute to high-level policy discussions. The Associate Director will oversee key initiatives and high-profile events in 2025, ensuring impactful engagement with policymakers, global health institutions, and civil society.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of six professionals working in Brussels and Geneva.
Oversee planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement for key global health events, including:
WHA Side Events (May 21, 2025)
Securing the Future of Global Health: United Front for Sustainable Financing (10 AM)
Health Without Borders: Integrated Primary Healthcare for All (2 PM)
European Parliament Event (June 20, 2025)
Building Trust, Breaking Barriers: Tackling Vaccine Hesitancy for a Healthier Europe
UNGA 2025 Event (September 2025)
Advancing Universal Health Coverage and Integrated Primary Healthcare
World Health Summit (October 2025)
The Future of Global Health Financing: Multisectoral Collaboration in a Fragmented World
European One Health Conference (November 2025, Brussels)
One Health, One Vision: Advancing Europe’s Health Security
Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including international organizations, policymakers, and funders.
Develop and implement engagement strategies to maximize the impact of IDA’s initiatives.
Represent IDA at high-level meetings, forums, and policy discussions.
Contribute to fundraising efforts to support IDA’s activities.
Qualifications & Experience
International experience is required, preferably in global health, policy, or advocacy.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing large-scale events and initiatives.
Experience with fundraising is a plus, particularly within the nonprofit or global health sector.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building abilities.
Extensive language skills are a plus, with preference for candidates fluent in multiple languages.
