Job Summary:
Plan, direct, and coordinate programs of a non-profit organization, ensuring compliance with funding sources and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage staff performance and foster organizational effectiveness.
Promote awareness of training, meetings, and events related to Behavioral Health and Mental Illness for communities across the state, focusing on adults and youth.
Essential
Duties
:
Create a data-driven strategic plan to implement program grants.
Manage program staff, services, and activities to meet policies, plans, and objectives within the approved budget.
Oversee all program grants, ensuring outcomes are met or on track.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with funders and manage their expectations.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulations, and nonprofit best practices.
Maintain federal, state, and county contract/grant/foundation files and reporting systems.
Ensure accurate and timely billing and reporting for contracts and grants.
Write and submit grants suitable for programs.
Recruit, hire, and provide leadership to NAMI GA staff, including employee development and performance evaluations.
Lead program staff meetings and facilitate communication within the organization and with community stakeholders.
Oversee maintenance of official records, policies, and documents.
Coordinate the creation and distribution of the bi-monthly program newsletter.
Collaborate with community providers and advocates.
Monitor issues at the state, county, and local levels affecting community crisis services.
Assist in organizing annual meetings and leadership events.
Serve as a backup contact for NAMI signature programs, youth in crisis programs, and other classes and development initiatives.
Oversee the implementation of new programs and respond to communications promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions.
Proven success in managing large state and/or federal grants.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Good judgment and flexibility.
Proficiency with office software:
Word, Excel, Gmail/Google Drive, and online newsletters.
Ability to travel occasionally and work some weekends.
Education and Experience
(Preferred):
4-year degree or 6 years of non-profit experience working with boards, staff, and volunteers.
Broad management experience (>5 years).
Extensive grant management experience (minimum of $250,000).
Experience in program development.
Note:
First 90 days in-office.
