Function:
The ADGP is considered an entry-level or mid-level Gift Planning position. The primarypurposeof the ADGP is to provide Division-wide supplemental support for all Directors of Gift Planning (“DGP”) in achieving their annual Gift Activity goals. They will support the Gift Planning team by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding individual donors, and targeting deferred gifts. Incumbents in the position actively participate in the implementation of each DGPs Forecast and Marketing Plans (“FMP”).
This position reports directly to the Lead Director of Gift Planning as assigned by the Development Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs tasks assigned by the Divisional Director of Development to assure the Divisional Gift Planning team achieves its fundraising goals.
Maintains average weekly work product goals of 20 substantive donor calls, 10 CEP proposals, and 2 visits per week (including Zoom) based on a 46-week year.
Supports each Director of Gift Planning’s (DGP) annual gift activity (production) goals but maintains solely work product goals themselves with the intention of not being in competition with the DGPs for gifts.
Responsible for cultivating and developing professional advisor relationships.
Handles outright gifts of real estate, stock, QCDs, and DAFs that are not assigned to any fundraiser and are under $100,000 in value.
Processes all Charitable Gift Annuity as assigned by the DGP.
Develops and delivers CEP proposals as requested by the DGP. Writes donor acknowledgements, volunteer solicitor briefings, and reports.
Contacts and cultivates persons identified through marketing efforts and relationships developed with Corps and Division staff, professional advisors, and other referral sources.
Works with other Development staff to identify, qualify, and research new planned gift prospects.
Collaborates with the Divisional Development Director, Director of Planned Giving, and major gift staff as part of a team of fundraisers for the Division.
Identifiesinnovativedevelopment, cultivation, and stewardship activities; crafts new strategies and support planning that will strengthen the Planned Gifts Program over time.
