Associate Development Officer Jobs in Remote at PIVOT – The Progressive Vietnamese American Organization
The Associate Development Officer (ADO) will lead PIVOT’s fundraising efforts at 50% time (20 hours/week), focusing on diversifying revenue streams and building sustainable donor relationships. This role will develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with our mission of engaging and activating Vietnamese Americans for a just and diverse America.

PIVOT is a national nonprofit advocacy organization serving as a collective voice for progressive Vietnamese Americans across the United States. Founded in 2017, we focus on empowering Vietnamese Americans through civic engagement, leadership development, and policy advocacy. Our key initiatives include voter engagement, combating misinformation, public health outreach, and leadership development for Vietnamese American communities nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet organizational goals, including individual giving, grant acquisition, and digital fundraising campaigns
Grant Management: Research funding opportunities, write compelling proposals, prepare reports, and maintain relationships with institutional funders
Donor Relations: Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors through personalized outreach, acknowledgment, and engagement
Digital Fundraising: Enhance online giving platforms and create compelling digital fundraising campaigns that engage our constituency
Data Management: Maintain accurate donor records, track fundraising metrics, and analyze results to inform strategic decisions
Event Coordination: Plan and execute fundraising events that build community while generating revenue
Board Engagement: Work with leadership and board members to leverage their networks for fundraising opportunities
Communications: Collaborate with communications team to create compelling fundraising materials that tell PIVOT’s story
Required Qualifications
2+ years of fundraising experience preferably at nonprofit organizations
Demonstrated success in grant writing and management
Experience with donor management systems and fundraising technologies
Experienced with data analysis and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Commitment to PIVOT’s progressive values and mission
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of studies
Experience with Vietnamese American communities or AAPI organizations
Background in grassroots organizing, advocacy, or social justice movements
Basic understanding of Vietnamese language
Experience with ActBlue, Salesforce, or similar platforms
Knowledge of 501(c)(4) fundraising regulations and compliance
Working Environment
Remote position with flexible scheduling
Part-time role (20 hours per week)
Occasional evening and weekend hours for events and meetings

Compensation
Competitive hourly rate of $30-45/hour with benefits, commensurate with experience and location
