About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Executive & Personal Assistant to support Dr. Taniya Mishra, Founder & CEO of SureStart, in both her professional and personal life. This dynamic, part-time role (up to 25 hours/week) offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a visionary leader at the intersection of AI innovation, education, and entrepreneurship.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly split their time supporting Dr. Mishra’s personal and family logistics and providing high-level executive assistance for SureStart, her mission-driven AI training and workforce development organization.

Responsibilities:

Executive Support (roughly 15 hours):

Manage and maintain Dr. Mishra’s professional calendar, including scheduling internal and external meetings, speaking engagements, and conferences

Business Development support: create meeting agendas, attending meetings, taking notes on next steps and tracking deliverables

Assist with communications, including drafting emails, presentations, and reports

Coordinate travel and logistics for work-related events

Support SureStart & Taniya’s social media strategy and presence

Liaise with SureStart staff, collaborators, and external partners

Personal Support (roughly 10 hours):

Manage personal calendars, appointments, and daily scheduling

Coordinate travel and accommodations for personal trips

Assist with logistics, including errands, gift giving, and purchases, and events

Help maintain organization in both digital and physical spaces, including inbox management and task tracking

Provide general personal support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

Prior experience as an executive or personal assistant (or both); startup or nonprofit experience is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting schedules

Tech-savvy and comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and task/project management software and social media

Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of confidentiality

Warm, reliable, and adaptable with a proactive mindset

Details:

Position type: Part-time (up to 25 hours/week)

Location: Remote/flexible with occasional in-person errands or coordination (depending on location)

Compensation: $25-30 per hour, commensurate with experience
