Due to growth of our non-profit, we are seeking an effective leader to join our finance team! The Assistant Finance Manager will assist the finance team with the performance of various administrative and financial tasks to ensure the financial health of the organization in an ethical manner that supports and sustains the mission and vision of the company.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist with the directing, planning, and coordination of operations within the Finance Department.

Assist in the classification of receipts and expenditures and distribution of costs according to prescribed allocation codes.

Perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bill processing, retail sales transactions and other finance functions as necessary.

Assign/track purchase orders and reconcile invoices.

Review and enter credit card charges as received and reconcile to credit card statements prior to payment.

Verify accounts payable to cost item to ensure accurate processing.

Review cost and operational expenses for GL coding to ensure proper expenses are recorded.

Reconcile ledgers of revenue received with bank statements.

Assist with compilation of financial reports and assist in the month-end processes.

Complete other reasonably related duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field;

Knowledge and/or experience within nonprofit accounting, allocations and grant funding.

Demonstrated work record of successful financial management.

Strong leadership and management skills with experience building and leading the finance department.

Post offer civilian background check and drug testing required.
