Assistant Director (Programmes and Partnerships, Outreach and Engagement, Mentorship), Youth Development Young NTUC is the youth wing of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Since our founding in April of 2005, Young NTUC has grown to over 180,000 members aged 35 years and below. Young NTUC supports youth throughout their professional and personal journey to achieve their aspirations through a multitude of purposeful activities and opportunities.
In
collaboration
with a vast number of partners ranging from unions to companies to government agencies, we can provide career discovery and navigation, workplace protection and support,
leadership development
, mental well-being resources, holistic personal development and many more.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives to promote the objectives and mission of YD, especially in growing mindshare and membership.
Provide
leadership
and guidance to YD staff in the Programmes & Partnerships, Outreach & Engagements and Mentorship teams and to ensure alignment and continuity of work amongst them.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address the needs and concerns of youths.
Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as government agencies, institutes of higher learning (IHLs), and industry organisations to enhance the brand equity of Young NTUC within the youth  efforts to plan and organize events, campaigns, and activities to promote youth participation in the Labour Movement.
Support Director and Dy Director in managing the budget and resources allocated for YD’s programmes and initiatives such as maintaining files and records, managing the annual calendar of events, and work allocation.
Manage any other duties as assigned in relation to Programmes & Partnerships, Mentorship, Outreach & Engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree holder in any discipline.
At least 8 years’ work experience.
Strong
leadership
and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a
diverse team
.
Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Possess project and
resource management
skills to handle concurrent work assignments and deliver high quality work within tight deadlines.
Able to work on some weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Good understanding of the dynamics and challenges of youth (IHL youths and first jobbers specifically) sector.
