About the Position

As the Assistant Director of Development for Community Programs, you’ll help drive community-based fundraising efforts that support the incredible work happening at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the Department of Pediatrics, and other child health programs ’ll take the lead on managing relationships and campaigns tied to our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage a portfolio of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) partnerships and programs, setting strategy and goals in collaboration with your manager.

Cultivate and steward relationships with CMNH partners and volunteers, coordinating fundraising initiatives and identifying new opportunities to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic support.

Lead high-touch communications with partners through regular calls, emails, in-person visits, and handwritten notes, while representing OHSU Doernbecher at partner events and hospital tours.

Develop and maintain program materials using CMNH resources and collaborate with internal teams to produce fundraising toolkits, campaign collateral, and impact reports.

Navigate CMNH platforms (e.g., Mission Control, InFlight app, Learning Lounge, Canva) to access program data, financial reports, and campaign assets.

Maintain accurate donor and activity data in systems such as InFlight and Ignite, and support regular reporting including PMR/NPAR.

Prepare for and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including developing materials and briefings for leadership and faculty.

Support the operational and administrative needs of the Community Programs team, including project-based support for CMNH initiatives.

You should have

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in or familiarity with program or project management.

Related experience in non-profit or fundraising and development environment.

Experience working with or managing volunteers.

Knowledge of community programs, major gifts, planned gifts, campaigns, and/or annual giving.

Working Conditions

Occasional hours outside of normal work hours for donor visits, meetings or programs.

Ability to move boxes and/or materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

Travel required; must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable and consistent access to a vehicle, and appropriate insurance coverage that meets Foundation requirements.
