The Assistant Director, Digital Engagement, under the guidance of the Director of Annual Giving, plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships within the Pepperdine alumni, parent, and donor community. This role primarily focuses on prospecting and engaging potential major gift donors. By leveraging advanced donor management systems and collaborating with various teams, the Assistant Director will contribute to the achievement of the Universitys advancement goals by building a strong pipeline development system.
Duties
Gift Prospecting and
***** Conduct proactive research to identify potential major gift donors. Develop personalized strategies to cultivate relationships and solicit philanthropic support from prospects. Collaborate with the Major Giving team to create and execute donor-centric engagement plans. Communicate stories about the impact of annual philanthropic support with current and potential donors and other stakeholders.
Campaign
***** Assist in coordinating and managing giving day campaigns, such as Pepperdine Gives and Waves Give days. Collaborate with vendors and oversee crowdfunding page editing to optimize campaign outcomes and ultimately strategic projects that will boost engagement with key alumni groups. Maintain and enhance data accuracy and integrity in the Advancement CRM system.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
***** Bachelors degree (business or related field preferred); 1-2 years of experience in prospect research and major gift solicitation in an advancement or fundraising office;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships;
Proficiency in time management, project organization, and attention to detail;
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
***** Experience with continual improvement project management;
Proficiency with Google Office Suite;
Experience with donor databases, preferably Raisers Edge and Vanilla Soft;
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to evolving environments.
