About Sunshine:
Sunshine Communities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services. These services are offered in various circumstances including at our Maumee, Ohio campus and at homes within the community. In addition to programs on campus, Sunshine individuals and staff operate Georgettes Grounds and Gifts, a coffee shop and fair-trade gift store located in downtown Maumee. Right across the road lies Sunshine Studios, an art studio space and gift store offering classes to individuals and the community.
SUMMARY
Will be getting direction from Art Studio Manager to produce and finish artwork including clay, textiles and other mediums.
Qualifications:
Art Degree preferred
Teaching experience required
Clay throwing and glazing experience required
Clay skills: hand building
Retail experience preferred
Sewing experience required
Valid Drivers License & proof of auto insurance
Able to lift 60 pounds
Able to pass a criminal background check
Job Details: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide assistance with picking up studio supplies from various vendors, including Roven Ceramics in Ann Arbor on a semi-weekly basis.
Assist with maintaining, repairing, and properly storing studio equipment.
Will maintain a clean work area.
Assisting with off-site shows and sales.
Packing items in car to transport, display the items and equipment for set up at the venues.
Monitor evening open studio sessions 1-2 evenings per week
