Animal Shelter Facilities Technician Jobs in San Diego, CA at The Cat lounge Rescue and Adoption Center
We are looking for a new member to join our team!
Please note this position is part time at 10 hours a week. The hours are not flexible due to the shelters hours of operations.
The position is Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The Cat Lounge is a non-profit cat rescue and we are San Diego’s first and only non-profit cat lounge! We rescue cats from high kill shelters and provide a safe haven where they can be rehabilitated and adopted.
We are a small non-profit and rely on each other to help our shelter run smoothly. This position is very cleaning and delegation heavy, as we rely on our Animal Shelter Facilities Technician to get things ready for opening to the public every day. We are looking for a someone that can perform the following tasks:
1. Disinfect and sanitize the facility (litter boxes, cat trees, sweeping, moping, wiping down surfaces, etc)
2. Follow sanitization procedures to mitigate cross-contamination
3. Supervise new volunteers
4. Delegate tasks to volunteers
Those with professional animal experience that are able to identify certain cat ailments and behavioral issues are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.25 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week

Day shift
Weekends as needed
