roles and responsibilities of members include:
Assisting clients in accessing resources and benefits including Medi-Cal and Medicare, housing applications, food banks, mental health services, etc.
Enrolling beneficiaries in the Homeless Management Information System
Housing beneficiaries by utilizing community resources
Collaborating with community partners on housing retention activities
Street outreach in Santa Barbara County
Volunteer recruitment and management

The agencies above focus on mental health services, criminal justice advocacy, housing acquisition/retention, and general social services.
Members serve as a part of AmeriCorps, a network of national service programs that supports 75,000 members across the country each year. Members are assigned to one of a variety of non-profit and public agency partners for their term of service.
We are seeking compassionate individuals who are interested in making a difference. Candidates should have a full year of availability, from September 2025 through August 2026.

Pay: $1,558.00 – $3,116.00 per month
