Pay:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $19-$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week Shift times:
Primarily Monday-Friday. 9am-5pm. Occasional weekend and evening hours required.

Job Summary:
Under immediate supervision of the Advocacy Manager, the Advocacy Strategist performs a wide variety of functions. Responsible for building a grassroots activist network and building coalitions with allied organizations and constituencies. This role will recruit, train, and mobilize supporters and volunteers to act on behalf of Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Iowa. The Advocacy Strategist will work to carry out legislative, organizing, and electoral goals as part of a dynamic Public Affairs team that builds a sustainable base of support for Planned Parenthood North Central States.
Advocacy Strategists are advocates in implementing our mission of “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive health care for all.” They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- One to three years’ experience in advocacy, organizing, political campaigns, or volunteer management, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Must be able to travel to and from external sites, within the required region, including conveyance of applicable program materials on a quarterly basis, including occasional overnight weekend travel.
