Position Summary:

The Manager,AdvocacyCommunications supports NAR’sAdvocacycommunications and outreach efforts to ensure that NAR is positioned as the most credible, trusted source of real estate information on Capitol Hill and among state and local officials. This person will be tasked with implementing NAR’s strategiccommunicationplan, incorporating key messages and providing day-to-day operations support to theAdvocacyCommunications team. The position reports to NAR’s Director,Advocacyand PR Communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Help implement NAR’s strategicadvocacycommunications plan and key messages.

Build relationships with and provide support for local and state REALTOR associations to ensure that NAR’sadvocacyand priority issues messaging and communications are consistent across all levels of the REALTOR association network.

Draft and editadvocacycommunicationoutreach materials, including web content, social media posts, speeches, talking points, newsletters, REALTOR magazine stories, and other materials.

Work collaboratively across NAR’sAdvocacyteam, capture details and strategically translate facts and information into compelling copy that connects with, engages, educates, and motivates target audiences.

Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

At least 7 years of relevant communications experience.

Experience on Capitol Hill, the executive branch, or a similar Washington, DC trade group or nonprofit; and/or a state or local government.

Exceptional writer with experience in feature and speech writing and writing for mass audiences.

Strong ability to copy edit and review materials written by others.

Ability to maintain quality standard and meet deadlines under a heavy workload and have proven ability to develop and manage teams.

Demonstrated ability to develop, adapt, and manage short & long-term plans and strategies to create value.

Exceptionalcommunication skills- verbal, written, and presentation.

Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries.

Compensation:$95,000-$110,000
NAR providescomprehensive benefitsincluding health/dental/vision insurance.
