ADULT DAY PROGRAMS MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Adult Day Programs Manager is hired and supervised by the Director of Adult Day and the Executive Director. He/she oversees the following programs: Community Access Group (CAG) and Community Access Individual (CAI). He/she works closely with other partner agencies to assure options to fully participate in community life, to learn and grow as individuals, to take part in fun and fulfilling recreation, and to create meaningful community integration. The Adult Day Programs Manager ensures outcomes are being met for each program specified in the individual support plans.
Exempt Position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises all The Arc SWAGA staff in the Day Center CAG and CAI programs.
- Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and completing performance evaluations for all staff in the Day Programs.
- Is responsible for the professional development of assigned staff in Day Programs.
- Oversees all documentation and records of the Day Programs, ensuring that policies regarding records are followed and that all applicable standards are met.
- Oversees budget expenditures for the day program to include staffing, overtime, supplies, and activity costs.
- Attend all ISP meetings for day center people, or assign someone as applicable
- Creates a monthly schedule of activities for the day center and community outings.
- Trains staff on ISP goals with everyone in the Day Program.
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed and records and reports any infractions.
- Oversees scheduling for transportation of Individuals in the day programs.
- Performs medication monitoring for individuals while attending the day programs.
- Attends community and in-house meetings that pertain to the individual programs, when required.
- Participates in all CARF Accreditation requirements that involve Day programs.
- Participates in Management Team Meetings as scheduled.
- Monitors programs and reports to the Director of Adult Day and Executive Director on functions and potential improvements and/or problems.
- Enhances current programs by conducting or arranging periodic program evaluations that identify issues and practices that will improve service quality.
- Develops action plans in conjunction with staff to meet defined needs.
- Responsible for promoting and protecting individuals’ rights, especially the right to freely make and express preferences in choices regarding their daily living and care, if such rights/choices are not detrimental to the individuals’ wellbeing.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Highschool Diploma with 3 years or more of related experience in Human Services.
Must have knowledge of DBHDD, DCH, billing, and Medicaid waiver programs and experience working with Medicaid waiver services.
Must have experience working with sensitive populations, including individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Developmental Disabilities (DD), and individuals exhibiting a variety of mental health-related behaviors.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
He/She must have knowledge of the agency’s Mission and Vision; must have knowledge of the agency’s programs and services and must have the ability to meet deadlines as they arise and be able to prioritize duties. He/She must be knowledgeable of the accreditation process and how it affects the agency.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The environment will be that of the typical office atmosphere. Some travel may be required, and non-traditional hours may be required as needed.

The Adult Day Programs Manager will report to the Director of Adult Day and the Executive Director.
