Cottonwood is seeking a FULL TIME Day Program Direct Support Professional. Cottonwood is an active adult day program that provides daily living skills and community outings to IDD adults. Shift is Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm.

Hiring Bonus: $250 at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months for new hire only if in good standing (total of $1,000)

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Applicant with a teaching background is preferred.
Experience working with adults with developmental & intellectual preferred.
Mature & dependable individual; minimum age of 25.
Valid Driver’s License.
Must meet background and reference requirements.
Reliable Vehicle with Proof of Auto Insurance.
Clean Driving Record. We will ask you to supply your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). No suspensions & less than three tickets in three years.
Computer/smart phone skills sufficient to complete required documentation.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide direct care and supervision to a people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or in the community and at our base site.
Lead or participate in group activities.
Assist individuals with participation in activities, feeding/meal preparation, obtaining and maintaining daily living skills
Plan and carry out a variety of recreational activities to advance social and emotional development (crafts, educational activities, museums, parks, dances, etc.).
Provide transportation to individuals as needed.
Assist with medical care / hygiene care as needed (medication administration, toileting, etc.).
Implement and document individual goals and medical tracking electronically.
