SUMMARY
The Administrative Intern will support the Executive Director in day-to-day operations, program coordination, communications, and general administrative tasks. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional with an interest in nonprofit management, wellness, community engagement, social services, or faith-based initiatives. The position is part time remote, with occasional participation in virtual or in-person events. Estimated 5-10 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, email correspondence, document and records management.
- Conduct research related to organization program areas,wellness topics, community resources, or grant opportunities
- Assist in fundraising support with donor development and engagement, and assist in planning and executing fundraising events
- Help maintain databases, mailing lists, and contact records
- Attend and take notes at virtual and in person meetings as needed
- Assist in the planning and execution of program events and virtual workshops
- Attend community outreach events to represent to the organization and share information about our programs.
- Draft and edit communications such as emails, newsletters, flyers, and social media posts
- Assist with updating and maintaining website (Wix)
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college, university, or vocational program is preferred.
- Areas of study may include nonprofit management, business management, or a related field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior administrative/nonprofit experience or coursework in a related field is helpful but not required.

- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal communications, including over email, in virtual meetings, and when representing the organization.
- Organization & Time Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing deadlines, and working independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Technological Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Zoom, and Meet) or similar programs, and able to learn new platforms and tools like Quickbooks Time or others as needed. Knowledge of Wix website building is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work, especially when assisting with scheduling, communications, and data entry.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively and respectfully with a small, mission-focused team; open to feedback and eager to learn.
- Adaptability: Flexible and resourceful when dealing with changes in priorities, schedules, or project needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- May involve evenings and weekends for events.
- This is a remote position. The Administrative Intern is expected to maintain a productive and professional remote work environment and have reliable internet access. Occasional in-person attendance may be required for meetings or events.
