Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized (Administrative Assistant) to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day administrative operations, support project coordination, and help maintain smooth communication within the organization. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization supporting local Black entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the executive team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments.
Assist in organizing virtual and in-person events, workshops, and meetings.
Handle email correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases related to program activities, donor information, and volunteers.
Assist with social media management and other communication tasks, including posting updates and responding to inquiries.
Support grant and funding application processes by assisting with research and document preparation.
Process expense reports, invoices, and other financial documentation in coordination with the finance team.
Perform other general office duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or small business environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid setting.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Black or minority-owned businesses or in an advocacy organization.
Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, or donor management systems.

4 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
