Provides a variety of administrative and staff support services for departmental operations. Prepares, compiles and maintains accurate patient and operational records. Independently plans, organizes and completes daily work under supervision in a manner supportive of a team environment.

Education Requirements

High school education or equivalent required

Experience Requirements

One year general office support experience required. Medical office experience preferred.

Skill Requirements (Competencies)

Requires a basic understanding of general office routines and procedures with the ability to file accurately

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, basic navigation and use of email

Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently

Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality

Ability to transcribe documents

Proficient listening, verbal and written communication skills
